Return & Exchange Policy

The Awadhi Ensemble

 

At The Awadhi Ensemble, every garment is handcrafted using traditional Chikankari techniques. Due to the artisanal and often made-to-order nature of our pieces, we maintain a strict policy as outlined below.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms stated in this policy.


1. No Returns / No Refunds

 

All sales are final.

We do not accept:

 

  • Returns for refund

  • Exchanges for design change

  • Exchanges for color change

  • Refund requests once an order is placed

Please review product descriptions, fabric details, and sizing information carefully before completing your purchase.

 


 

2. Size Exchange Policy

 

We understand that sizing concerns may occasionally arise. Therefore, we offer size exchanges only, subject to the following conditions:

  • Request must be made within 48 hours of delivery

  • The item must be unused, unwashed, unworn

  • All original tags and packaging must be intact

  • The requested size must be available in stock

Shipping Costs

If the size issue arises due to the customer not reviewing the provided size chart, the customer will be responsible for:

  • Return shipping charges

  • Re-shipping charges for the exchanged item

 

The Awadhi Ensemble does not provide prepaid return labels for size exchanges. We strongly recommend reviewing our size guide carefully before placing your order. If you are unsure, please contact us prior to purchasing.


 

3. Damaged / Incorrect Item Claims

 

We conduct strict quality checks before dispatch. However, in the rare case you receive:

 

  • A damaged item

  • A manufacturing defect

  • An incorrect product

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Mandatory Proof Requirement

An uninterrupted unboxing video is compulsory.

The video must:

  • Start before opening the parcel

  • Clearly show the sealed outer packaging

  • Show the shipping label

  • Clearly display the issue

Claims submitted without a complete unboxing video will not be accepted.


 

4. Inspection & Approval

 

All claims are subject to internal review and approval.

We reserve the right to deny:

  • Requests submitted after 48 hours

  • Items showing signs of wear, washing, alteration, or damage caused after delivery

  • Incomplete proof submissions

 

Approved damage claims may be resolved via:

  • Replacement (subject to availability), OR

  • Store credit at our discretion

Refunds to the original payment method are issued only in exceptional circumstances.


 

5. Handcrafted Variations Disclaimer

 

Due to the handmade nature of Chikankari:

  • Minor irregularities are not defects

  • Slight color variations may occur due to lighting or screen differences

These are inherent characteristics of handcrafted garments and are not eligible for claims.

 


 

6. Order Cancellations

 

Orders cannot be canceled once confirmed.
